PROSPERITY AND IT’S PURPOSE

“Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth…. 3 John 2.”

          Prosperity has to do with success, affluence, riches, wealth. It does not only have  to do with money but also health – physical and spiritual. It is a usual thing that everybody in life wants to prosper and Yes! This prosperity the world seek is God’s will, God desire for us to prosper but for reasons.

          In Deuteronomy 8:17-18 it says “And thou say in thine heart, my power and the might of mine hand hath gotten me this wealth. But thou shall remember the Lord thy God for it is He that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish the covenant which he swear unto thy Fathers, as it is this day”.  There are quite a lot of persons who believes it is their own sweat and the work of their hands that cause them to have wealth. No Sir! It is God that gives power for anyone to make wealth. He gives us wealth so we can establish His covenant on earth so we can have to give.

      God did not wish for us to prosper, so we can only have enough to spend for ourselves. This is a wrong mentality, people have stunk themselves into practicing, they are so stingy, ‘they say you can’t get something from me easily‘ and feel very invigorate about it. Such practice are for those who are not ready for the good life.

          Your prosperity starts to count when it begins to affect those around you and you must learn to give to God. As you prosper, let your prosperity be made  manifest in the house and things of God. The more you give, the more God blesses you and make sure your prosperity abounds both financially and in terms of good health.
