SALVATION

“And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come Salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast  down which accused them before our God day and night…. Revelation 12:10”.

One notable truth is that God loves us and made us for Himself. He made us for His pleasure. He  does not live for us, rather we live and exist for Him. God is so good, merciful, caring and loving that He sent his only begotten Son, Jesus to die for us, and to save us, and give unto us eternal life.

Salvation is the central theme of the gospel. Jesus said in John 15:16 “ Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain”. This is the ministry of reconciliation which is given unto us the Christians, who are saved (have received salvation – Born again) that we should go forth and bring others who are unbelievers, reconciling them to God that they too will be saved. John 15:16 is a call to the priesthood ministry and it is the responsibility of every Christians.

Paul  said in 1 Corinthians 9:16, “For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel!”. When you read the book of Jeremiah, you see him make likewise testimony about preaching the gospel; who after being persecuted, as the people were unwilling to hear from him and cast him  into the prison, became weakened, then he (Jeremiah) said in Jeremiah 20:9  “Then I said, I will not make mention of him, nor speak any more in his name. But his word was in mine heart as a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I was weary with forbearing, and I could not stay”. He had to open up his mouth again boldly and preach the gospel. If this man can do this , then what are you doing? Are you preaching the gospel or keeping quiet?

If I may ask, “Are you born again or have you received the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ?” There is no salvation in any other name than the name of Jesus, for there is no other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved (Acts 4:12).

The Bible says “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation…. Romans 10:9-10”.

If you are not born again, why not do so even right now, but confessing this prayer with your mouth boldly. And believing in your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead and become saved immediately. Now Jesus had been waiting for you, knocking at your door for you to open so He becomes your shepherd, Lord and Saviour of your life- why not take this opportunity (Revelation 3:20). The bible says there is Joy in heaven over one sinner that repent (Luke 15:10). Why not be that person that will move heaven into rejoicing and celebration by getting Born again. Say this prayer thus:

                 PRAYER OF SALVATION

“Heavenly Father, I call unto you in the name of Jesus. I know that I am a sinner and I ask for your forgiveness. I this day confess with my mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in my heart that you have raised Jesus from the dead. I accept Jesus this day as my Lord and personal Saviour. Thank you Jesus for I am now born again, saved cleansed from all my sins and I now have eternal life. Amen.”

If you have just said this prayer, then I congratulate you and yes indeed, there is tremendous joy in heaven right now, As they are all celebrating because you have received salvation and eternal life had been imparted into your human spirit. Welcome to God’s family, you are now a child of God. Halleluyah!
