THE GOSPEL: THE MESSAGE OF GOODNEWS

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life… John 3:16”.

The Gospel is not repent, repent, repent lest you die. The Gospel is ‘Goodnews’. To the poor, the goodnews is Jesus has made you rich. To the sinner, the goodnews is Jesus died for your sins. To the sick, the goodnews is Jesus has made you heal. Halleluyah! Jesus is coming back again, and he is going to reward everyone according to how his works shall be (Revelations 22:12).

Our opening scriptures says ‘For God SO loved the world’  So much so in it. It did not say God loved the world but that He SO  much loved the world.

Who were in the world? Sinners! yet He loved us and gave us His only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. Jesus did not come here to the world to condemn us despite we were sinners , but to save us from our sins (John 3:17).

The message of the gospel is ‘goodnews’. Because of love, God did not spare His only begotten Son but willingly gave him for the remission of our sins. And now by the Precious blood of Jesus, anyone who accepts Jesus has his LORD and Saviour by getting ‘Born again’ receives remission of Sin; that is, the total cleansing of sins in a way that it does not exist: All sins becomes covered. And once Born Again, you are no longer stranger or foreigner but you have now become a member and a citizen of heaven (Ephesians 2:19) and God has now adopt you as His Son. So now we can stand bold, blameless, holy and righteous before him without any guilt of condemnation.

Today, the Lord Jesus is sitting on the throne of grace calling all men to accept what He did for them. Every one can now boldly come before the throne of grace to obtain mercy. (Hebrews 4:16).

The message of the Gospel is that of ‘Goodnews’ and not of condemnation. Remember: Christ in you, is the hope of glory (Colossians 1:27). He that is in you is greater than he that is in this world (1 John 4:4). And cheer up, because Jesus has overcome the world and her system for you and in Him shall you have peace (John 16:33) and  as he is, so are we in this world (1 John 4:17).
