“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that they shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children….. Hosea 4:6”.

Without knowledge, I great man of authority and power will be oppressed, persecuted and destroyed by even those people and things which he has power and authority over. If you know not who you are, anything can easily overcome you. Let’s take an illustration: If a farmer sees the heir to the throne of his city, ran to him to oppress him and forcefully take what is his. What do you think will happen to that farmer? What the king’s son (the heir) simply need do is give a command and the farmer will be cast into prison, if not worse. But if the heir does not have knowledge of the power and authority in his possession, then that farmer can get him oppressed and even beaten and go free without any harm coming to him – the farmer.

As a Christian, you are a possessor of power and authority. Romans 8:17 says, “And if Children, then heirs, heirs of God, and joint heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together”. You are God’s heir and all things are yours (1 Corinthians 3:21).

The problem we see and that the world face today is as a result of lack of study and meditation on the word of God. They have rejected knowledge. The knowledge talked here is not of mathematics or physics: but the knowledge of God which is the ‘HOLY BIBLE’ which will help teach them to live the life that God had created them to live.

Ecclesiastes 8:4 says “where the word of a king is, there is power”. 1 Corinthians 4:20 says ‘”For the kingdom of God is not in word but in power”. Revelation 1:6 says, “And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father…”. How can you act as a king, if you know not? You are a king in this world and you are full of power and authority and all things are yours. Study and mediate on the Word of God that you may have knowledge of these things that are fully yours and so you may know God’s WILL.
