Prayer of the Congregation for Protection

Opening Scripture: “The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand.” – Psalm 121:5 (KJV)

Dear Heavenly Father, as a congregation united in prayer, we come before You with hearts full of faith and expectation, praying for Your protection and guidance in our lives. Lord, You are our Rock and our Refuge, and we trust in Your power to keep us safe.

You said, “The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand” (Psalm 121:5). Lord, we pray that You would keep us safe from every harm.

“For thou hast been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy” (Psalm 61:3). Lord, we pray that You would be our Shelter and our Strong Tower.

“Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day” (Psalm 91:5). Lord, we pray that You would protect us from every terror and every arrow.

“For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways” (Psalm 91:11). Lord, we pray that You would give Your angels charge over us.

“And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:7). Lord, we pray that You would give us the peace of God.

“The Lord will preserve him, and keep him alive; and he shall be blessed upon the earth” (Psalm 41:2). Lord, we pray that You would preserve us and keep us alive.

“Keep me, O Lord, from the hands of the wicked; preserve me from the violent man” (Psalm 140:4). Lord, we pray that You would keep us from every wicked hand.

“And the Lord, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed” (Deuteronomy 31:8). Lord, we pray that You would go before us and be with us.

“Thou art my hiding place; thou shalt preserve me from trouble; thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance” (Psalm 32:7). Lord, we pray that You would be our Hiding Place and preserve us from trouble.

In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
