Opening Scripture: “The Lord is a man of war: the Lord is his name.” – Exodus 15:3 (KJV)
Dear Heavenly Father, as a congregation united in prayer, we come before You with hearts full of faith and expectation, praying for Your guidance and protection as we go into spiritual battle. Lord, You are our Rock and our Refuge, and we trust in Your power to give us victory over every enemy.
You said, “The Lord is a man of war: the Lord is his name” (Exodus 15:3). Lord, we pray that You would be our Warrior and our Savior.
“For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds” (2 Corinthians 10:4). Lord, we pray that You would give us spiritual weapons to overcome every enemy.
“Thou hast also given me the shield of thy salvation: and thy right hand hath holden me up, and thy gentleness hath made me great” (Psalm 18:35). Lord, we pray that You would give us Your shield of salvation.
“For thou hast girded me with strength unto the battle: thou hast subdued under me those that rose up against me” (Psalm 18:39). Lord, we pray that You would gird us with strength, and subdue every enemy that rises up against us.
“The Lord shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way, and flee before thee seven ways” (Deuteronomy 28:7). Lord, we pray that You would smite every enemy that rises up against us.
“For the Lord thy God walketh in the midst of thy camp, to deliver thee, and to give up thine enemies before thee” (Deuteronomy 23:14). Lord, we pray that You would walk with us, and give us victory over every enemy.
“Thou hast given a banner to them that fear thee, that it may be displayed because of the truth” (Psalm 60:4). Lord, we pray that You would give us a banner of victory.
“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth” (Romans 1:16). Lord, we pray that You would give us the power of Your gospel.
“The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear?” (Psalm 27:1). Lord, we pray that You would be our Light and our Salvation.
“And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony” (Revelation 12:11). Lord, we pray that we would overcome every enemy by the blood of the Lamb.
In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
